What do you get when you mix a banjo, beer and skis? Well we’re not exactly sure but we imagine something like Winter Wonder Grass. One of the nations premiere bluegrass festivals, this festival boasts events in three ski mountain towns across the country! If you love snow and bluegrass then this is pretty much heaven in a weekend!
Introducing: New Music Festival Collaboration
Winter Wonder Grass Festival
Some of the nations top bluegrass bands will get together in Colorado in February, Lake Tahoe in March, and Vermont in April to move their fingers as fast as they can in cold weather. Just reading the Winter Wonder Grass mission gets us amped up for some winter mountain jams!
“For nearly ten years we’ve been bringing together the best in bluegrass, Americana, and roots music with community-minded independent brewers. We combine these ingredients in some of the most welcoming and majestic mountain communities in Colorado, California, and Vermont. WinterWonderGrass is built around community, sustainability, and family. Come get a taste of this refreshing energy!”
Some of our favorites bluegrass musicians are on the lineup this year. Here are a few: Greensky Bluegrass, Billy Strings, Margo Price and Keller & The Keels in Colorado. The Devil Makes Three, The Infamous Stringdusters, Fruition and Peter Rowan in California. Cabinet, Molly Tuttle and Della Mae in Vermont. View the full lineup of each festival here.
We are so stoked for Winter Wonder Grass 2020! Not only is the lineup as incredible as always but we have some really exciting news: This year we are rolling out the first ever Winter Wonder Grass Tarpestry! You will be able to buy your official Winter Wonder Grass Tarpestry directly through Winter Wonder Grass so that you can have your new festival blanket that you can use for your snow picnics too! These make perfect boot change mats at the car or apres ski hut and can also be used halfway down the mountain when you’re ready for your mid mountain break. If you don’t have time to head back to your lodging before your favorite bluegrass band starts….that’s okay! Lay down your water repellent Winter Wonder Grass Tarpestry, take off your boots and boogie on down in your socks! (feet might get a little cold but that’s why they make feet warmers right?!)
Don’t Miss Out
Make this year the year that you boogie down on the slopes to your favorite bluegrass bands at one of the three Winter Wonder Grass locations.
